Have you ever been to the The Children’s Museum of Southeastern Connecticut? If not…totally worth a trip (in Niantic) if you have kids ages 0-7 or so. It’s a small museum with lots of fun pretend play and science activities for the little ones as well as a nice outdoor play area. We especially love the train table, the “toddler land” under three play area, and the pretend Mexican restaurant kitchen. Nate has also started getting into the science room as he’s gotten older, and loves to check out the big, kid-friendly microscopes and slides as well as the battery exploration station. They have FABULOUS baby and toddler classes, as well, and some even meet on the weekends (perfect for working parents who still want to attend!). If you are looking for even more fun, McCook’s Park is across the street and has a nice, small family-friendly beach area as well as excellent play equipment and bathrooms.
This weekend it’s REALLY worth a trip, as it’s time for the annual Haunted Garden & Monster Shindig!! SUPER fun evening activity. Not too scary…very festive. We are heading there this weekend, and you should, too! I love this time of year! Check it out!
