It’s that time again! We love freebie friday and hope you do too! All you need to do to try to win is leave a comment on this post. We will choose a winner Monday morning.

April Quast, from Glastonbury, CT is donating today’s terrific giveaway!

About April: “I’m a mom of 3 wonderful girls, ages 4, 2 and 6 months. Our basement is what we call our studio. I have my art space sectioned off with a half wall to over look the girls’ playroom area. Together we create, sometimes we create art, other times we create messes, but the luxury is we get to create side by side. I try to find time every day to create, it’s my love and it’s my relaxation. In addition to being an artist I’m an art teacher. I am truly blessed to have a part-time job teaching high school ceramics 3 minutes from my house. Often times I say high school and people respond with moans and groans. I assure you I couldn’t have a better group of students or a better job. Creative inspiration surrounds me at all times, what more can an artist ask for?”

About April’s art and today’s giveaway: “My art uses colorful abstractions to explore the energy and movement that motivates the dance and yoga experience. Abstract art is defined by the simplification or exaggeration of an object’s characteristics, I have chosen not to represent my dancers realistically but instead use simplifications and exaggerations of the human figure to capture the essence of the movement and music’s energies. When I was pregnant with my third daughter I was inspired to create an abstraction of a pregnant mom. My jewelry is made from prints of my drawings and paintings. It’s A Girl and It’s A Boy are both color pencil drawings. I have now made pendants of these special drawings for moms to wear as a treasure around their necks.”

Winner of today’s contest will receive her pregnancy pendant in the color of your choice (blue or pink). This is a great gift for a pregnant woman in your life, or for you to treasure for yourself! All you need to do to try to win is leave a comment on this blog post.
