I was considering writing a post about my New Years’ resolutions for 2012 but that would be pretty boring since I basically have the same resolutions that I have every year and I wouldn’t be surprised if they are quite common to the general mom population. I will be more organized. I will eat better. I will try to make sure my girls eat better. I will reduce, reuse and recycle more. I will not to get stressed out over small things. Etc. Etc. You get the picture.
So, rather than bore you with how I will continue my journey to becoming my personal best in 2012, I thought it might be fun to think about what my family’s resolutions would be if it were up to me! Hey, a girl can dream, can’t she?
So here goes:
- For my 1 year old: I will not cry when you put me down and I will do better at sleeping soundly through the night.
- For my almost 3 year old: I will always share my toys with my sister and I will not whine so much.
- For my husband: I will put my dirty clothes in the clothes basket instead of leaving them on the floor and I will remember to take the garbage out on Friday mornings, or better yet Thursday nights!
- For my dog: I will not steal anymore food off the counter or out of the hands of my favorite people and I will do all of my doggy business in one area of the yard!
In all seriousness, 2011 has had its ups and downs but overall, my family had a great year. I cannot believe how much my girls have grown and changed and I am looking forward to see what 2012 has in store for us! I am grateful to have found CT Working Moms and I would like to wish a very happy New Year to you and your families! Hope 2011 leaves you with many happy memories and 2012 brings great things to all of you!
