So most of you probably know by now that Michelle asked me to do “Magical Mondays”here on CTworkingmoms.com because of my daily gratitude blog “My Everyday Magic.” Perhaps what you don’t know, however, is why I believe daily gratitude is so important ~ and I mean SO IMPORTANT ~ to living the kind of life you WANT to live. Before I started the blog “My Everyday Magic” back in August of 2009, I had already been doing my own personal journal under the same name for well over 2 years.
Perhaps you know the movie “The Secret”that was released back in 2006 about the Law of Attraction? The theme of the Law of Attraction is “Energy flows where attention goes,” which simply means, whatever you’re focusing on is what you’re going to get more of. I decided I wanted more GOOD stuff in my life, so that’s why I started focusing and documenting the GOOD. I can honestly and enthusiastically say that focusing on the wonderful little things in life that we can be thankful for EVERY DAY has truly, truly been life changing ~ which is why I’ve been doing it for close to 5 years now.
Daily Gratitude brings to you the things you WANT in life. Noticing the GOOD in life is like saying to the Universe “Thank you! I’d like more please!” and the Universe will ALWAYS deliver. Always. (As an aside, have you seen the movie “Happythankyoumoreplease?” Sooo worth the watch!)
I believe that Daily Gratitude is helping me live an abundant and beautiful life. (And by the way, studies have also shown that a daily dose of gratitude improves health and alleviates depression!)
Here is a quote I just found and agree with 100%:
“You simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life. And you will have set in motion an ancient spiritual law: the more you have and are grateful for, the more will be given you.” –Sarah Ban Breathnach
I challenge you to try to for 2 months or even 30 days and see how your life magically transforms right before your eyes…starting on this Magical Monday. 😉
Today I’m grateful for:
* Watching the sunrise right now as I write this.
* My cup of warm tea.
* Last night hubby and I were in the kitchen together making spaghetti, listening to jazz, and drinking wine. It felt very sexy. 😉
* Beloved hubby took over for Baby Kai’s 4:15am wake-up call, letting me sleep in until 5:45 am. 😉
* Chocolate chip cookies!
* Watching my family work together better as a team lately!
* A fun conversation with my parents last night.
* Writing this blog-post and reminding myself of the POWER of Gratitude!
Join me and tell me why you’re grateful today! And try it for 2 months to see how your life changes in wonderful ways!! 🙂
