We are in the heart of grilling season and I am always looking for tasty new recipes to spice up dinners for my family but let’s face it, I don’t have too much extra time to prepare food between work, managing a household and most importantly, playing with my girls. I am sure that many of you are in the same position so I am sharing a simple marinade that my cousin and his wife passed along from one of their favorite restaurants in Florida. I have used this marinade for grilled chicken and for chicken kabobs but I bet it would also work well with pork or beef. It’s SO good!
Tasty chicken is as simple as mixing together one-third equal parts teriyaki sauce, italian dressing and pineapple juice. I usually use a small 6 ounce can of pineapple juice and ideally, you want to leave the meat and/or veggies marinating for 24 hours so plan ahead if you can although I have marinated for as little as an hour and it still tastes yummy. The marinated food can quickly be thrown on the grill after work and served with rice for a delicious meal.
Give it a try and let me know what you think.
