I had a day last week… and not one of THOSE days. (I have those all the time.) Instead, a day where everything just fell into place. I was motivated, productive, full of energy (getting used to broken sleep?) and, well, I just CRUSHED it. And it was a MONDAY EVEN.

I got out of my own way and prepped all five meals for the week. All five. Lunches for the girls planned, floors mopped (!!), bathrooms cleaned, workout done, showered (I even dried and straightened my hair), three loads of laundry washed, dried, folded and put. away. people.

All while I was home with a feverish three-year-old. We painted pumpkins and practiced numbers and she napped. Do you hear the angels singing? Because they were. And I danced with glee to their angel songs. I did.

And wouldn’t you know, that glee pushed me through the entire week. None of the other days were nearly that perfect, but they felt closer to it because I had such a great start. I worked out all week. We had dinner ready all week. It was glorious.

I felt a lot like this.

I mean, we were still late to school every day, but I’m only human. But, my point is to try to conquer one teeny task. For me, taking the stress out of dinner for the week was it. It made me happy enough to push a bit more all week. Take a little more time to clear the cobwebs and figure out how to make our lives feel like this more often. I think we might have come to some conclusions, but we’re not quite there, yet. I’ll keep you posted!

In the meantime, what does it for you? What makes you angel dance? Laundry? Clean bathrooms? Empty cat box (f’ing cat)? Date nights? Share!
