When I finally decided that I needed professional help to create a new CTWM’s logo and header design I knew exactly who I wanted to do it. Andrea, of Andrea Espach Designs previously created our bumper sticker design & our Working Moms on the Move t-shirt design. And I LOVE them both! She has a talent for understanding exactly what her clients want and executing it perfectly & creatively. So when I wanted to have more of a branded look for the website, she was my go to woman (and in my opinion she knocked the new design out of the park!). I also love supporting Connecticut based mom-owned businesses and Andrea fits that bill too! Win-win on all accounts.
In addition to being a mama, running her own design company and just being awesome, Andrea is also one of the founders & curators of The Pop Shop Market. The Pop Shop is a European-style open-air pop up market that will feature 50-75 top curated vendors of antique and repurposed furniture, artwork, jewelry, and fashion by local artists, designers, and merchants. Each event (they are aiming for 3 a year) will feature a new local Connecticut brewer as well as delicious food from the hottest food trucks. Attendees will be able to grab a pop from the BarCar and a tasty bite from top local farm-to-table eating establishments while they peruse the market.
The first Pop Shop Market will be held on June 1, 2013 the Fairfield Theatre Company warehouse and parking lot in Fairfield, CT. Yes people – this incredible event is going to be LOCAL, right here in Connecticut and ALL the vendors are local, ALL OF THEM. I think the vendor farthest away is based in Manhattan so you’ll get to support some pretty rockin’ local establishments.
General admission is FREE so you can walk around the market, check out the goods and even perhaps treat yourself to a yummy meal at one of the many food trucks that will be in attendance (including: Lobster Craft, Taco Pacifico, Cowabunga, Fryborg & The Local Meatball).
There will also be a Raw Bar and a mini farmers market selling items like olives and olive oil from Il Palio out of Shelton, spreads from Prima Dolce, Bloody Mary Mix from Aunt Whiskey’s, espresso and other blends from Raus Coffee along with other market-like vendors.
Andrea says, “To be sure we have something for everyone, we will also have retail vendors set up in the warehouse. Vendors include Faherty Brand, a new beach lifestyle clothing brand that just launched this past month, eclectic jewelry from Uberkuchi and nathan&moe, vintage collectibles from Fort Vintage, artwork from students at Giant Step’s in Southport along with children’s, men’s and women’s clothing.”
Just for kicks, cause this stuff looks so beautiful, here are a bunch of photos from vendors that are confirmed for the Pop Shop:
Ummm yes please! Are you interested in attending the first Pop Shop Market? Head out on June 1st either with or without your kiddos for a guaranteed great time. Check back to their website for up-to-date information about all the vendors that will be popping up.
