Have I said that I love watching my kids grow up? If I have, I apologize, but I just can’t help myself. Right now, ages 4 1/2 and 1 1/2, they are both balls of energy and excitement, filled with creativity and joy. Each activity and many moments are filled with pure happiness and curiosity.

The snow also made our neighborhood perfect for exploring. Otherwise normal sidewalks became snow mountains that my son and his boundless imagination turned into hours of adventure. My daughter also loved the sidewalks because she was comfortable running back and forth…although this scared the h*ll out of me. At least she was thrilled!  We also spent some quality time sledding. My son got more confident, although he’s not quite up to the challenge of going alone yet!

Finally, we took a family trip to Target, a place I would visit weekly if given the opportunity, but since having kids only venture to once every 4-5 months. I don’t have to explain why I love Target, but for children it’s like the mothers ship has called them home. Toys and food everywhere. This trip, we were focused on getting news shoes. The trip was a success and my son is now obsessed with his new sneakers. I also broke and bought my daughter a tutu and we got Don his first baseball mitt!

All in all, three days of family time amounted to many hours of family fun. Sometimes I just have to sit back and pinch myself. Can’t believe this is my life. Wishing everyone lots of laughs and love!
