Each June the CT Office of Tourism organizes Connecticut Open House Day. It’s a day where Connecticut residents are invited to discover – and rediscover – the state’s exciting arts, history and tourism offerings with a variety of special incentives, such as discounted or free admission, free gifts or special exhibits and activities. Last year CT Working Moms was part of their “street team” and my daughter & I really enjoyed the day.

Here's my girl at Dinosaur State Park last year for CT Open House Day.

Here’s my girl at Dinosaur State Park last year. My little baby!!

This year Open House Day will be on June 14th! The Office of Culture & Tourism invited us back again to be part of their team of bloggers that help get the word out about this awesome day. Our own Elise will get to hang out with a few other awesome bloggers, her kiddos and her wife while taking a special bus around to visit some kid-friendly spots. How cool is that?

Take some time to look through the extensive list of locations that are participating. You can find lots of FREE things to do (I love free activities!). You could even decide to make the day a non-kid day and take advantage of some of the discounts at local theaters & wineries. Whatever you decide, I hope you’ll take advantage of this exciting event that celebrates the best Connecticut has to offer!
