I certainly don’t have to tell you how much of the fluffy white stuff we have on the ground from our recent visit from Blizzard Nemo/Charlotte/whatever you want to call it. However, I can share with you a fun activity you can do with your kiddos involving this multitude of snow (now that you’ve finally finished all of your shoveling and snow blowing)!
I jumped at the opportunity to make some Blizzard Ice Cream with my daughter. It’s super easy to make and I guaranty you already have all of the ingredients on hand. It’s pretty darn tasty too!
Ingredients:
- 4 or 5 cups of clean snow (warning: yellow snow does make lemon ice)
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1/2 cup of sugar
Step 1: Collect your snow and keep it in the freezer while you get the rest of your ingredients ready.

Step 2: Mix the milk, vanilla, and sugar together until all of the sugar is dissolved.
Step 3: Slowly stir in the snow until it is as thick as ice cream.

Step 4: Eat it up!

Bon appetite!
Good idea! I used to just mix flavored syrup into the snow and called it “snow ice cream”
