A Child’s Heart

A child’s heart is a miracle. It is a gift. It brings immense joy and peace to those who experience its pure love. It can be fickle and silly and fearless and stubborn. But its ability to grow is limitless, as is the happiness it brings.

Parenthood can be daunting at times, but the reward I treasure is my child’s love. It makes me strive to be a better person, every day of my life. It has strengthened my marriage, my family, and has given me more purpose and direction in life. It has taught me to have faith – in my spirituality, the universe, and most of all, myself. For that I am so grateful.

Thanks for allowing me to be sappy today. In what ways do your children’s love inspire you?

  1. MG, one of my favorite things Jake does that never fails to leave a lump in my throat is when he rests his head on my 7 month preggo belly and says, “I layin’ on Sister” and “Sister Loves Me”. oh every time…. Every time he does this, totally unprompted, it brings me such a full heart.
