I’ve been thinking a lot about giving back. Not just because this week is Thanksgiving but because it I know first hand how good it feels to either volunteer with a non-profit or donate to one.
So we decided here on CTWM’s to create a new space that we’re calling Be Charitable. You can see it up top in the menu bar.
Life is crazy busy for all of us – that’s just the nature of being a working parent trying to juggle a million different things. But I think it’s always important to remember that there are other people who need our help and even if we can’t find the time to volunteer for a cause we care about, perhaps we can find other ways to be involved (like sharing their information on your Facebook page or making a donation).
Our new Be Charitable section focuses on the charities that are near and dear to the hearts of our bloggers. I encourage you to check it out and see if any of the organizations listed touch your heart. It’s also a great way to learn a little more about each blogger – I know I did as I read about their selections.
In the words of Ben Carson: “Happiness doesn’t result from what we get, but from what we give.” This holiday season we encourage you to find an organization whose cause you care about and figure out a way to support them.
Happy Thanksgiving lovely readers!
