I didn’t think I’d be saying this but…OMG you guys, we have a nursery!
It is by no means finished (we still need total wall decor, a new wall light, curtains, fill the dresser drawers with teeny baby clothes and, no, there’s no light bulb in that table lamp and we still need an extension cord to plug it in) BUT we totally PULLED IT OFF this weekend and got most of the room set up.
My hubby was awesome getting the room and my hand-me-down dresser painted, and putting up with me as I tried to help.
We made a quick trip to pick up the beautiful glider and ottoman we found on Craigslist.
We assembled the crib and filled the room with our other finds, like the turquoise pillow and chevron laundry basket.
We even found a home for the beautiful homemade bird houses that my sister made for my baby shower.
It’s not complete, but I think it’s perfect just the way it is.
Setting up the nursery proves just one more time how good of a team my husband and I can be. We don’t have perfection, but we have exactly what we need for right now.
Now, we can relax a bit for these next few and precious days and get ready for our second miracle of the week–welcoming Baby Boy into the world!
