Advice For My Daughters (In Quotes)

My beautiful girls,

There are so many things I want for you in life, and advice I want to share with you about life. I know that I won’t always have inspirational words of wisdom of my own to share with you, but luckily for me there are others who have already said it quite perfectly. And although these words are not my own, I hope that when you read them, it is my voice that you hear speaking them to you.

I hope these words will act as a reminder when you lose sight of what’s important, give you strength when you feel insecure, provide you with comfort when you feel lost, and inspire you to be the best YOU you can be. I would just like to add a few thoughts of my own. They may not be quite as eloquent, but they are still some very important truths that I have learned during my thirty year journey here on planet earth.

Live life to the fullest. Remember that you can do anything you put your mind to. Find happiness in everything you do. Don’t be afraid to laugh at yourself. Laughter truly is the best medicine. You are stronger than you think. Trust your instincts – they’re usually right. Work hard but don’t forget to have fun. Love others. Love yourself. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Don’t try to be perfect – perfect is boring. Always be yourself. Stand up for what you believe in. And always believe in yourself.
– Mommy
