In February I told you about how Chrysalis, a domestic abusive shelter, had gone through a lead abatement and was left without some important items in their Safe House. CT Working Moms reached out to you, our readers, and asked for help in filling the rooms with some decorative touches to make them feel more inviting and homey, as they were left bare after the renovations. We were overwhelmed with the response and raised over $2000.00.
We would like to say thank you for your kindness and generosity. You’ve helped make these rooms a little warmer, filled with a little more inspiration, and added a little more love. Your compassion has made a difference in our community, and from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.
Here’s an update on what we did.
With the funds we raised, we purchased a couch for the common area, bedding for all the bedrooms (including new sheets and comforters), window treatments, end tables, and some inspirational décor.
We got together and delivered, installed, and decorated…
…and left the house filled with a little more love.
